Our local anchovy season just started back up about a week ago and we are excited to be offering fresh anchovies to our customers for the first time this year!

We pick up our anchovies LIVE morning of delivery from the docks in San Francisco and deliver them to you the very same day. These little fish are such a special treat - packed with flavor and omega-3's - they smell like fresh cucumbers when we pull them out of the water.

We only offer a couple deliveries of anchovies each year because they are so special so now is your chance to get them for all of your pickling and preserving needs!

Order a share or two and get some friends and family together for a preserving party (we promise that is a thing!) You'll have the perfect Cesar salad base, tapas, pizza toppings, pasta, toast toppings - you name it these guys can add depth and flavor to any dish!

Be sure to check out our Northern Anchovy page - its full of valuable information including videos on how to clean and use your catch!

We'll also have King Salmon from everyone's favorite salmon boat available for all of you that have been asking!

We'll say it a million times - quality is all about care and our partner boats really care for their fish from the moment they are caught - this is something that you can both clearly see and taste with our salmon!

We will be dropping off hubs late this week since we have to pick the fish up the same morning and package them - expect them to be dropped off in the afternoon - most likely around 1pm

It has been a little while since we have offered fresh Northern Anchovies and we are excited to bring them back this week because they are such a treat when you get them as fresh as we do!

Anchovies are rich in healthy and delicious fatty oils which results in a shorter shelf life then almost any other fish - this is why you can't find them fresh at your local super market. We get our anchovies live, morning of delivery, so you can experience them at the peak of their quality!

*Since we do pick them up live morning of delivery - hub points and deliveries are pushed back up to 2hrs - we will keep you up to date with our schedule as we go*

Your fish will arrive whole, but the great news is that Anchovies are easy fish to clean and you get to learn some cool new techniques doing it if you didn't already know how! You'll be a pro in no time! Invite some friends or family to help out and make it an occasion to get together and enjoy a delicious meal together!

** If this is your first time ordering anchovies, then we highly suggest that you take a look at our Anchovy page to understand the work that goes into preparing these local delights!

Species Catch Range:  South of Monterey to Alaska

 Seafood Watch Rating: "Good Alternative"
We work with a handful of small boats from Moss Landing up to Half Moon Bay. We choose to work with family run operations whose passion and pride you can see in the quality of the fish when you receive them.

Our fish our caught hook & line and pulled up one by one, with rubber coated nets that don't tear at their scales, once on board they are very quickly and humanely bled and then pressure bled to ensure the fishes meat stays pristine.

They are then carefully placed in a refrigerated seawater system that keeps the fish incredibly fresh.

Our fish are never thrown or held by their tails.
This destroys the quality & integrity of the meat.
Please treat them with the same respect when you receive them!

Our Partners at Seafood Watch consider these fish a Good Alternative - as we mentioned our local salmon run is a very precious resource that needs our support to continue to succeed! Please eat the whole fish, share it with people you love, share the story of our local salmon, and consider supporting your local salmon warriors - we love the work the folks over at Golden Gate SalmonAssociation do to ensure our waterways stay healthy and available for salmonto continue their journey to and from the sea!
